Obesity has many ill effects on the body as well as the mind. It’s unfortunate that millions of people go through physical and mental problems all because of their excess weight. Obesity effects the body in a physical sense and decreases the ability to perform simple tasks like walking to the shops, taking the stairs or playing with the kids. When obesity strikes it becomes even hard to get up from the sofa which makes sustaining a normal standard of living very difficult.
Health effects can be catastrophic. It’s common for people who suffer from obesity to also fall victim to conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure and circulation problems. Each of these conditions can be controlled through medication but they also have the ability to increase the risk of premature death and further serious ailments that could have been prevented by following a proper diet and regular exercise program. Obesity is one of the first signs of deteriorating health and unless action is taken it’s easy to aggravate the problem.
On a more superficial level, obesity leads to stretch marks on the skin which leave an unattractive appearance. If an obese person manages to lose weight often the skin becomes saggy and droops. It’s difficult to amend this without invasive surgery. A realistic long term diet that allows weight loss at a gradual rate can reduce the saggy skin affect.
Mentally obesity affects people also as it’s not just a physical disorder but a psychological one. People’s relationship with food is rather unhealthy and they either use food for comfort or other emotional reasons which leads to frequent overeating. With excess weight come self esteem and body image issues. It’s not uncommon to come across people who are obese and also suffer from confidence problems which make every day activities like work and social outings a difficulty.
Obesity is a condition that people don’t necessarily view as medical or psychological but the persons own choice. While in many cases this is true that obesity is caused by gluttony sometimes the problem goes a little deeper than that. People who suffer from obesity should get help right away so that they can learn to eat healthily, exercise regularly and be able to return to a suitable weight. By doing this they will be able to prevent many of the negative effects that obesity has on the body.

have been reading your blog around 3 days. really love what you posted. by the way i will be conducting a report relating to this area. do you know other good sites or perhaps online forums where I can find out more? thanks a lot.
I was hard pressed to find any pertinent information about the subject all
condensed in one area; therefore my membership site (http://www.Diabetes2bFreeMembers.com) was put together to help other people who think that this chronic disease just needs to be treated, instead of being cured.
I am not a doctor giving medical advice, just a person who reversed type 2 diabetes and share my story.
